“Neurothech on Friday night” is a club and popular science event organized by us, a common communication platform, where start-up entrepreneurs meet with like-minded people, scientists, to discuss their ideas and get feedback. The site serves as a link for professionals and novice researchers in the field of neurotechnology. Each meeting consists of three sections – speakers from the scientific or professional environment, short presentations by novice researchers, an exhibition of start-ups and equipment, and a discussion panel.
The event is attended by specialists from various fields – medicine, psychology, technology, the development of electronics and software products, AI – specialists, scientists, researchers. The third meeting brought together more than 80 neurotechnology professionals and enthusiasts. The audience showed great interest and high activity – we had a great time. The program was opened by a very interesting report – “Altered States of Consciousness” by Dmitry Isayev (PhD, Research Institute named after O. Bogomolets). Dmitry Isaev is one of the best electrophysiologists of Ukraine, who previously worked in the United States and the United Arab Emirates.
A significant discussion was aroused by the reports of Katerina Turitsyna (“Neurofidbek in the treatment of psychological trauma”) and Alexei Reznichenko (“Psychophysiology of emotions” – the “Evoyemo” project). The projects are very close and are likely to unite their research and development efforts. The participants discussed and planned for the near future the creation of a public neurolaboratory, where it is planned to purchase the necessary equipment (EEG helmets, computer equipment and diagnostic devices). Also decided to hold the following meetings on the basis of the laboratory and exclusively for members of the Neurotechnology club.
In general, all participants noted a positive trend in the growth of the quality of the event, an increase in the number of specialists involved. We thank all the participants of “Neurotech on Friday night,” and see you soon!
